Real-Time Hybrid n-CSTR Models for Dynamic Processes Based on Numerical Integration for Continuous Manufacturing
In Continuous Manufacturing (CM) for Oral Solid Dosage (OSD), knowing and analyzing the concentration of raw materials within a product in real time is essential to optimizing efficiency and enabling advanced control strategies, such as inline rejection of out-of-specification material. In this presentation, we discuss a novel approach taken by Continua Process Systems that leverages a hybrid model to solve for concentrations on embedded systems in real time.

Automated Wizard for the Integration of Process Equipment Assemblies with the Process Orchestration Layer
It can be challenging, costly, and time-consuming to integrate Process Equipment Assemblies (PEAs) with disparate communication protocols with Process Orchestration Layers (POLs). To reduce the effort, a continuous wet granulator/dryer PEA was integrated with a POL using an automated wizard. In this session, we will describe how the automated wizard can import process tags from unit operations and map them to OPC UA tags in the POL.
